This recording of two matches from the Tournament of Champions in New York offers some unique squash viewing opportunities.
This is a rare opportunity to get a close look at Brett Martin, considered by some observers as the greatest pure offensive shotmaker. It also affords an opportunity to look at Peter Nicol in the early years of his development, before his game developed the all-around maturity of later years.
The recording includes two great matches from the 1994 Tournament of Champions, featuring the great shot maker Brett Martin: Peter Nicol vs Brett Martin - watch Peter Nicol, then a Champion in the making against Brett Martin the most spectacular shot-maker of all times; Brett Martin vs Rodney Eyles - see the incredibly quick World Champion Rodney Eyles and Brett Martin in one of the most spectacular squash matches of the 90's. These matches both filmed by Jean Delierre. (Both matches on one video).
The recording does not reach the standard of later recordings produced by Delierre. There is only one rear camera angle, and the color is slightly washed out. This is reasonable but not broadcast quality, and does NOT include any narration.
Still, an important historical video.
