Canary Wharf 2004 was a high quality invitation event, using a new scoring system "PAR" to 9 points.
Matches recorded by a new Squashtalk supplier, Alan Murray. The DvD's he has produced are of good quality, recorded with one camera at the rear of the court and natural court sounds - no narration.
This set of recording is historic and invaluable in several ways. It records the first use of the new PSA-type scoring system, to be officially introduced later in the year, and records the coming of age of James Willstrop as a pro player to be feared by the top players in the world.
The set includes:
- Finals (Lincou vs Willstrop)
3/4 playoff (Nicol v White) are on individual DvDs.
Other matches are all recorded two to a DVD as follows: Day 1-1: Lincou v Matthew; Ong v Nicol; (67 min); Day 1-2: Palmer v White, Beachill v Willstrop (80 min); Day 2-1: Matthew v Nicol, Ong v Lincou (96 min) Day 2-2: White v Willstrop, Beachill v Palmer (64 min) Day 3-1: Beachill v White, Palmer v Willstrop (70 min) Day 3-2: Ong v Matthew, Lincou v Nicol (72 min).
As mentioned above, All recorded from rear of the court in high fidelity; no narration but with voice of referee.
DVD will play on multi-function; multi-region players; if in Europe must request PAL format IF you DO NOT have above listed devices. (Allow one week extra for PAL shipments)
